The Man who Wanted More

Riffusion is a fairly new site that lets you use AI to generate music and vocals to your lyrics.

I got Chat GPT to write me some humorous lyrics about Donald Trump’s obsession with taking over Canada and Greenland and how his mantra seems to be “more, more, more”.

I set it to a light-hearted Irish Jig and let it do it’s thing.

The result was what the Diffusion described as “Acoustic folk satire with a dash of political cabaret”.

Donald Trump - the man who wants more

You can basically tell it to produce any style you want and it will give it a fair go – I tried making a Heavy Metal song about a Monk, a psychedelic song about eating Magic Mushrooms sung by a woman’s choir and an Indian sounding song about Ravi Shankar and a Starfish.

The good thing is that Riffusion is totally free to start playing with and you only need to subscribe if you want to keep producing more and more songs.

Click the image below to have a listen to the output. It sounds a little synthetic, but it’s not too bad really!

Listen to "The Man who wanted more"

And here’s the Lyrics it used to create this bit of humorous slop.

Verse 1
Well he looked at a map with a glint in his eye,
Said, “Canada’s nice and the Greenland sky—
They’ve got trees, they’ve got snow, and they ain’t even red,
Why can’t they be mine?” is what he said.
He tweeted at noon from a gold-plated throne,
“Annex it all, let’s make it our own.
And if they say no, I’ve got a plan,”
He smiled and slapped tariffs on every land.

Chorus
🎵 Oh, Donny boy, with your hat so bright,
Dreamin’ of borders every night.
You want maple syrup and icy plains,
But leave behind trade and growing pains. 🎵

Verse 2
He stared at Greenland, thought “That looks cold,
But I bet it hides a mine of gold.
We’ll buy it cheap or take it neat—
I’ll build a resort right down the street!”
He taxed the French on wine and cheese,
He taxed the Brits for fish and peas.
Germany flinched, Japan just blinked—
But tariffs kept comin’ like kitchen sink.

Chorus
🎵 Oh, Donny boy, with your dealin’ flair,
You’ve got taxes floatin’ through the air.
Canada’s chill, but not amused—
They’re guarding their borders and feeling confused. 🎵

Bridge
Now the globe’s on edge and the charts all dip,
As the world adjusts to this ego trip.
But he keeps on talkin’, full of fire,
Wants half the North and a new empire.

Final Chorus
🎵 Oh Donny, Donny, the art’s your game,
But the rules keep changin’ and the world feels strange.
You can build all the walls, fly flags up high—
But not every country will wave goodbye. 🎵

Outro
So here’s to the maps he’ll never redraw,
To Canada’s calm and Greenland’s thaw.
And if tariffs rise like a mighty tide—
We’ll all ride the storm with our eyes open wide. 🌎
